Here is everything we released in October, including bug fixes and smaller tweaks that don't normally get promoted, for those power users out there!

New features

Improvements

  • Selected assets will stay selected if you click to view an asset and then click back again.
  • Assets we import for you will now show as imported by Dash Support in the "Uploaded by" field.
  • Made the Download button permanently visible in the download dropdown menu.
  • Improved visibility of Versions functionality in the asset details page

Bug fixes

  • Improved email validation to avoid incorrectly formed emails being invited.
  • Fixed an issue requiring assets added to Canva appearing as grey until added a second time.
  • Marking a field as public no longer moves it to the top of the field list in public views.
  • Fixed an issue with the activation code not working if emails had upper case characters in them.
  • Fixed issue where Download reports would error if the account hadn't downloaded any assets yet.

We have just launched our Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) feature 🎉

With MFA enabled, your users will be required to authenticate with a secondary method (one-time code generated by an authenticator app) in order to access their Dash.

The beta is available to anyone, just get in touch using the in-app chat and ask to have it enabled 🙂

New feature

Canva is an online design and publishing tool with a mission to empower everyone in the world to design anything and publish anywhere.

The Dash Canva app allows you to browse your Dash assets directly from within Canva, and import these straight into your projects.

The integration is free and available now.

Improvement

Image-specific crop areas

You can now set the exact crop position for any image, for each preset size.

This is great for when you want to:

  • Control exactly how an image will look when users download it using a preset size.
  • Control where a crop will be applied when downloading an image within some of our 3rd party integrations.
  • Save users time when doing bulk downloads of crop presets
